Who hosts Macrumors?

    arn has 2 dedicated servers - one for the board, one for the main site - that all happened fairly recently i believe

    donations for a future G5 Xserve would be very appreciated by arn and the rest of the gang.

    If you become a contributing member, do you get to post without consequence?

    Hahaha that should be a perk. That you get a forum to say whatever you want.

    wow, the first time you said that, i read "post without conscience," somehow. i was like, "hell yes! I do that all the time!"

    but alas, no, if you contribute and make an ass of yourself in some monumental fashion, we will beat you raw and throw you out. well, not us, but one of the "bad" mods. at least, you'll probably think they're bad at the time. but if it's "more" leeway, or rather, "less consequence," that you're looking for in posting, contributing financially is a way to get that. you can't eliminate consequences entirely, but as some of us can testify, you can get darn close. :)

    Actually he goes through a hosting service and has mentioned it before. I don't recall which one, though.
