i will continue to wait until new mbp's with merom are released. i am in no rush.

Changing to Meroms will definitely be considered an upgrade(though it still uses the same logic board). There might be some new issues with it since it`s a new processor. But thats very unlikely. And in any case if you are not satisfied with it you can always use your apple care.

I`d definitely get the merom MBP (granted there is a design change too) without worrying bout Rev A problems. My rev A MB runs absolutely fine without any problems(`cept for a little heat may be)

i never bought a revision a before, but what are some typical problem (or typical type of problem w/ revision a)?
