Why does Word Keep opening?

I am having a problem when I open a .cwk file. I want it to default to Apple Works, but Microsoft Word keeps opening. How can I fix that?

Select a .cwk file, do a Get Info, click the "Open with:" twisty, select the app you want it to open with, click the "Change All..." button. This will change all current and future .cwk files to open with the selected application. Sometimes resource forks can be sweet.
