    MacBook Pro 15'' late 2011
    SSD 500GB Crucial
    MacOS Mountain Lion 10.8.3

Files were copied to the external backup hard drive.
Files on MacBook Pro (video project) were moved to trash bin.
    Trash bin was emptied.
Disk was backed up with Time Machine.
MacBook Pro was restarted multiple times.

    Different places show different results.

    OmniDiskSwiper: 193.7GB used

Right click on hard drive --> get info: 289GB used

How to free the space? Where are the files with storage info so I will bit the ***** out of them!?!?!

    Thanks for your help!

Apple pisses me off so much, that sometimes they make me want to go back to windows. No... after a second of thinking, "Once you go Mac, you never go back!"

I choose the path of the Dark Side!
I won't waste time on "fixing" stuff which should work by itself!

I turned off Time Machine and here are the results
