I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction here.

I have an idea for what should be a fairly simple dashboard widget, but I don't know quite where to begin. I've read Apple's "Developing Dashboard Widgets" page (skimmed, anyway) and I've looked into a couple of widget bundles so I am generally familiar with the structure. I don't know much about javascript, but for this project I believe will be able to pick up all the code I need from the net. I think the biggest obstacle is my lack of familiarity with CSS, which seems to be more or less essential for making good widgets.

If it would help, I can point to the page I'd like to convert into a widget.

    Thanks!

    Try this for online
    http://www.echoecho.com/css.htm

There are lots of html books out there that have chapters on CSS. The Visual QuickStart series are pretty decent introductions....
