I thought in the anticipation of Tiger it might be a good idea to gather some of the requests and wishes for widgets for Dashboard.
A good ressource also is thedashboarder

    Mine are:

    ? to-do list from iCal
    ? weather widget
? sports tickers and live sports scores
    ? CNN news splash
? system monitor widget (MenuMeters as a widget)
? alarm widget (countdown, stopwatch, time alarm)
? nice adress book (the one Apple is currently using looks like crap)
? nice calculator (again, the one Apple uses looks like dog poop)
    ? ebay widget (price watch)
    ? iSync/Backup start widgets
? translation/Wikipedia search widgets (customizable search window for other searches too)

I guess that's all. It will be quite crowded anyway. :D

So what are your wishes for widgets?

    - macrumors rss widget
    - stock quotes (where you could choose what stocks you'd like to see, and not only nasdaq but anything you like around the world)
    - you're absolutely right about the calculator and address book, they have to be changed
    - stickies (it is there already, right?)
    - some kind of a calendar for fast viewing

hmm guess that's pretty much what I can think of right now..

Check out Dashboarder, a lot of the widgets mentioned are already available. And to think Tiger hasn't even been released yet! Can't wait to see what other widgets people will come up with.

Perhaps a game, todo list, traffic report, system preferences (lite), CPU temp, ascii table.

how about a color pallette that could store up to four colors....you could choose the colors from all the standard swatch libraries (Web, RGB, PMS, CMYK, etc)

Also a countdown clock would be nice. You would put in the title of the event, and the date and time, and it would count it down for you
