Wife and I bought our first Mac...

    ... and the Mac community has just ceased being what it used to be. :)

    2GHz white stock MacBook. I will most certainly be posting on the Beginners forum when it arrives.

    You made a fine choice for your first Mac. I am confident you will also find this forum to be enormously helpful and very well run by the moderators. Make sure to take advantage of the detailed guides that are posted ... plus buying a book on Macs and OS X will also be a smart investment.

    Yes, the one below by David Pogue. If you do stop in a bookstore, there will be many to choose from ... but this one is quite comprehensive and good for a first time Mac owner to have available. Best wishes with the new addition to your family.
