Hey all, I'll be getting OSX Lion for my late 2009 iMac when it's released. But I can't really be bothered to do a complete fresh install, as it doesn't seem to have lost any speed. (Thanks OnyX).

So I was wondering if theres an option to just upgrade the os without loosing everything or needing to restore everything from my backup? I'm pretty sure I've done it on my G4 but that was a while ago, going from Panther to Tiger.

Thanks in advance!

Of course. As always there will be an upgrade in place option.

However, archive + install is often a better bet, although you may need to re-install some of your software afterwards.

Your data will remain untouched with either of the above options. Just make sure you have backups just in case.
