    Hi

I've been running Bootcamp on my macbook pro for the last two versions of bootcamp, and under both encountered the same problem.

Windows begins crashing more and more often. I am up to about ten times today. Worst of all when rebooting it does a system check which takes 10-40 minutes to complete. On a normal windows system it would be possible to avoid this by 'pressing any key' however the hardware drivers appear not to have kicked in by that point and i have to go through the entire process. As I use this book for work it is getting very problematic with nearly my entire day wasted on these reboots.

I think the problem may be related to available hard drive space, as the crashing occurs more frequently as my hard drive fills up, however it also occurs less frequently when there is hardly any disk space used.

What i'd like to know is

    1. is anyone else getting this problem?

    and

    2. Is there any way to stop the disk check on start up?

Also related to these crashes is a frequent deletion of some user preference files, for example bookmarks in firefox. However I don't appear to have lost anything crucial as yet.

    Thanks for any feedback,

    x

Do you have any RAM installed that is not from Apple?

If so, try removing it and replacing it with the original Apple RAM.

I have seen similar issues when using non-Apple RAM on my MacBook Pro.
