Umm, yeah. I guess you can go through those 2 paragraphs on instructions, or you can just use iTunes. Why would anyone want to use Media Player?

    What's new?

So one requires instructions and then on the other hand, iTunes is automatic and intuitive... geeks will love the former, and it'll be a no brainer for the rest of us. I've not yet found a non-geek who couldn't figure out iTunes themselves...

Over a decade later, MS Apps still work as if they're just pretty looking DOS programs in a floating window... they'll never fully understand how to do a good GUI... fortunately ;)

Yeah, why bother to use the key to get through your front door when you can take out your credit card, slide it around a bit, break it, find a hairpin, mess around with that for a bit, have the door finally open twenty minutes later (with no clue as to why it got unlocked) and then get inside. The second way is obviously better.

I thought every Windows-related product comes with the product requirement that it be unnecessarily complicated to use. Complexity comes bundled, free of charge and ready for frustration.

Wait a sec, I thought the article was a joke. Why would they say "let Windows Media Player 10 do it for you" if it wasn't. Come on, it's got to be a joke.
