Windows XP on Powerbook G4

    Hi!
    Don knoe if i can ask this..
    But i have a powerbook g4 1.67GHZ..
    Was wondering if there is any way i can install winxp on it.. ( not virtualPC )
    As u know, bootcamp dont werk..
    ;(

    Please advice.

    No. Windows is geared towards the X86 platform, rather than the PPC platform. Though you might be able to get Linux on it, but it still won't run Windows apps, even if you did have whine. Sorry. :eek:

    Nope. Virtual PC, or some other virtualization software, is your only option. Windows just doesn't run on powerPC hardware by itself.

    I expected this thread to be filled with insulting replies at the original post for even asking. Im glad its been nothing but peaceful :)

    Actually, it does, but you wouldn't want to use it.

    Especially since it was Windows NT made for PPC 604-based Prep machines (the IBM RS/6000 with PPC604 being the machine), and while it has been updated to the G5 -- not all of it was updated, aka XBox 360 alpha development boxes.

    Plus, the Windows NT for PPC binaries are probably all Pre-G3/Mac OS X -- so they are really old apps.
