Hello. I have a 1998 iMac, and am wondering if there is any way I can use wireless internet on this machine. We have it set up in my flat, so it is just a question of whether the machine will support it, and if so what do I need to do? Would really appreciate some help!

I did some quick research and you will need a USB 1.1 wireless adapter as there is not an airport slot nor USB 2.0 ports.

forget USB adaptors. they suck. ethernet based adaptors are much, much better because they don't require drivers (USB adaptors generally have flaky to nonexistent driver support). linksys, belkin, dlink and macsense.com all make such adaptors. I use a link sys myself and its great.
