WMV to itunes readable file?

    i just ordered my ipod video and a lot of video files i have are in WMV format and it wont let me put WMVs on itunes. does anyone know any programs i can use to convert these files to a itunes readable file? preferably free

    EasyWMA (I think)

    If that's right, I got my compy from versiontracker....

    you may also be able to use ffmpegX. It's free, and works well , but they do ask for a donation. I've been using it for converting wma files to mp3, but I think wmv to whatever you want is supported as well.

    AFAIK Easy WMA is only for audio conversion but not video.

    i tried ffmpegx and couldnt get it to work..no idea if its even possible.

    yeah that really sucks if it isnt 90% of my videos are in this format, som full concerts, itunes needs to support wma and wmv

    It'll never happen because of the w part. Microsoft wouldn't allow it, it's not an open format which is a bad thing. :(

    But yeah, Flip4Mac is great.

    ok i dl'ed the free trial of flip4mac and they play n quicktime now but how do i get it onto itunes now?

    Export them with Quicktime Pro.
