Why is nobody else making them squirm? God knows, there's no shortage of ammunition...

    Like ducks in a barrel.

Just about any member of the press could be doing this on a daily basis. Just about every member of the press should be doing this every day.

Just about none of the press have the balls to do this, ever.

I believe you'd prefer fish. Ducks have a habit of flying out of the barrel and consequently are much harder to shoot.

    People with guns and barrels.

    And gun barrels.

    But I digress.

    Constantly.

Don't worry about it, no one's going to criticize you for your digressions. We know it would just slide off of you like water off a fish's back.

My question about that one has always been one of physics.

Ducks I can see shooting at... Fish on the other hand have a distinct advantage: Water slows projectiles at a truly impressive rate. The combination of impact, cavitation and viscosity slow all but the most purpose-built projectiles to much less harmful speeds in just a few gallons of volume.

Add into this the refractive qualities of water and the prospect of actually shooting fish in a barrel becomes more daunting (and soaking) than one would first guess...

Now shooting pond turtles in a barrel...... :D :p ;)

You could skate. You could get up porpoisefully. You could salmon your squire to give you a hand. Or you could just mullet over. The choices are endless...

No trout about it. I could ex-salmon your statements more carefully, but I already have a haddock.

This thread sure has strayed off course. It's not even a tad political.
