WoW Shader Bug?

    With the setup in my sig, when I turn on the "full screen glow" shader, my FPS is virtually cut in half. This can't be right. The "death effect" shader is also very slow... "terrain highlights" however doesn't slow down my system at all! Changing my resolution and enabling trilinear filtering also work great.

    Is Blizzard still working out the shader bugs, does anyone know? It would make sense if the game was offloading these shaders on to my CPU, but otherwise, can't my 9700 Mobility handle it? :confused: Does this work better on nVidia chipsets? It looks so cool, but I can't justify a 50% FPS decrease...

    Yup, happens here too with a Dual G5 2Ghz with a ATI x800 XT. Full screen glow just kills the FPS completely... its a shame. We sure need a performance update cause this is silly...

    At least they finally got FSG to work (look) like it's supposed to! It's a step. Death Effect I'm not too impressed with yet. FSG only slows down perhaps 15%-20% for me (at 1280x960).
