I am looking for a new hd, 10gb or more, for the clamshell I just purchased. Is there like a certain type of hd, that any brand I buy from would work with my clamshell? Or does the hd have to be made from Apple?
If you have one, post a price.

    Thanks,
    Zach

Any laptop HD should do. I recommend neweg.com if no one here comes forward.

FYI your looking for a 2.5" HD. I reccommend you get the fastest RPM one you can buy, to improve speed on your clamshell.

    You'll need this for sure!

This link is VERY helpful, it'll show you how to open up your iBook and change the hard drive. Unfortunetly you have to basically take apart the whole thing just to access the hard drive. Good luck and be careful! Don't lose some screws like I did ;)
