Excuse my ignorance as this might seem quite obvious but I have a hypothetical question about data usage with xbmc....

If I have an ATV2 and NAS both going ethernet to my router, when I stream a 10GB movie to the ATV2 with xbmc, is it actually using 10GB of my 250GB monthly comcast data limit?

I'm guessing the answer is yes. Does it depend on the protocol of transfer? I think it is usually SMB with NAS drives.

    Thanks a ton guys

No, because the movie's data never leaves your house via Comcast, it does not count towards your data cap. As long as the source and target of the data stream is within your house and behind or connected to the router, you're fine.
