So I got music to list on my ATV2 from my Itunes database stored on my NAS. Haven't got the movies to list though, perhaps xbmc does not support mkv format. Not really sure. Has anyone had any success getting iTunes movies stored on a NAS to play directly to ATV2 through XBMC?

    thanks

    Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

I will be interested in the response as well. I had to get another NAS that has an iTunes server.

Dumb question. Did you copy your entire library to the root directory of the NAS or did you put it in the usual provided folders found on drives?

XBMC for iOS does support MKV.

I have my itunes folder on the nas. Problem is my itunes folder also contains the movies folder. I found that xbmc had troubles mapping directly to the itunes folder for videos. So as a test, i copied a few of the movies from the itunes folder over to the root videos folder my nas created when I turned on DLNA. Turning on DLNA creates a root folder for music, videos and photos. No my nas sees the movies in the videos folder and starts to play them. But it keeps buffering and eventually crashes. At least I know it works this way. Only issues is how I seperate my Itunes purchases for movies into a seperate dedicated folder located in the root directory of the nas. Likely not possible.
