I was wondering if anyone has had any luck connecting the Xbox 360 to a Apple Display? Can someone explain to me how will this work?

Aside from $300+ solutions, duct tape will work.

Assuming that your ACD only has a DVI-D input, there's really NO solution for this. The Xbox 360 does not have any sort of DVI output option, and a box to convert VGA or component video to DVI-D is, as pdpfilms indicated, going to be expensive.

Xbox 360 output options: VGA, component video (RGB + 2 audio), S-video.

Besides, the quality would be pretty poor. That's a PC screen.

Actually, a VGA -> DVI adapter is not easy to come by and they are expensive for the one you'd need to provide signal to and ACD. You're looking at around $300US. That cable could work with a Dell display as they have VGA inputs on all but the 30" screen.

Anyone have a link to the $300 converter. And does it do the best job?

The reason that won't work is that the ACD expects a DVI-D (D for Digital) connection. A VGA-DVI adapter is going to produce a DVI-I (I for Integrated, analog or digital) analog signal which can't be used by the DVI-D port on the ACD.

Thank you for the quick response, but I was hoping there was a link to the manufacturers webpage for the device. Or perhaps a reseller on the web?

If you click THAT link, there is a link on that thread for the manufacturer's web page.

    Jeez.

Found it now buddy, thanks! And there no need for that kind attitude. Just help out and smile. Or don't. Just don't give attitude where attitude isn't due. You should be happy, you justed helped someone out.

My "kind attitude", as you referred to it (or did you mean "kind OF attitude"?), only emerges when people ask a question, it's answered, TWICE, and then they complain that their question STILL wasn't answered.

When someone gives you a link, try clicking on it.

Of, course I tried clicking it first. The "Here" link didn't stand out until you pointed it out. That's why I ask a second time.

And yes you found a typo. I haven't slept yet so I'm a little out of it. Thanks for pointing it out though, I will proof read harder next time.

But let me just say this. I don't know where you get off with this 'I already answered your question commoner, don't bother the high-horsed mathematical scientist again with your idiotic questions'. If answering a simple question with politeness is too much for you, then I suggest that you might help folks at other boards.

Because as far as I've seen on this board, your the only one to really have an attitude about helping people. That is what a message board is for: discussion and inter-user help on issues.

If tact is too much to ask for, I don't know which way is up.

But on a separate note, your collection is pretty tight. From one artist to a collector, for whatever it's worth.

Anyone besides me find it funny that mac.head.high is reading the riot act to clayj, one of the nicest posters around, and completely ignores posts #5 and #10?

Yeah, I was kinda peeved at him getting pissed off at ME after he somehow missed the link that all of the rest of us saw. Seriously, how many times does someone have to tell you "look here" before you finally get it?

    And thanks. :)
