I have now a 360 and a windows thing. They connect well. It says though, that it only works on windows based PC's. When I get a Mac. Would I through Virtual PC 7 be able to connect to the 360 with the right software? Help me!

how are you connecting the xbox to the computer? if it's through a software interface, i imagine you'd be able to install the same components through virtual pc. if you're looking to simply run the video out from the xbox so as to use the mac for its screen, that would be more an issue of having the right hardware.

Search for a program called 360 connect that will allow you to do what you wish to do :)

I have this Windows Media Connect, but what I want, is to install it in Virtual PC. and run it through there. The 360 is programmed only to accept windows, so I thought, that though I ran virtual PC, it would still count as a Mac. But why won't virtaul pc work on an intel mac as you say?

BTW, the reason I want to connect, is to stream videos, music and pictures from the pc to the 360. I do it with the RJ-45 (ethernet) cable that came with the 360. This is working, but will the 360 recognize the Mac through Virtual PC? And is there another way to do it if Virtual PC don't work on Intel Macs?

since the linkup is through ethernet, i think you should be alright. installing the windows media connect through virtual pc should allow you to interface through the ethernet port on a mac. i don't think there's anything inherent in the xbox that would effectively 'prevent' it from connecting to a non-windows computer. that being said, i have no experience with virtual pc, so i wouldn't know what to expect with an intel mac. i imagine you should be able to run it with rosetta, though.

Virtual PC will not work on intel without a major rewrite/compile, I wouldn't expect it any time soon.

As a previous user mentioned, I use Connect 360 (http://www.nullriver.com/index/products/connect360) to allow the xbox 360 to play my Music and Pictures from the Mac.

Agreed. This program works a treat. The Xbox 360 thinks its talking to a Windows machine, hence total compatibility. My Mac and Xbox work seamlessly together using this utility
