so I have an extra Dlink dwl-g710 range extender....

i was curious - is it possible to plug that into the xbox360 and use that as a wireless connection to my router or will it just not work for the 360?

it'd be nice so I don't have to buy a $100 microsoft wireless contraption!

    thanks in advance!

should work in 'theory'. :) in practice, could you not just plug it in to see ?

Let us know if this works, I am very interested in not dropping $100 for something that arguably should be included in at least the premium console.

man, i tried getting it to work (just on my computer to begin with) and for some reason i'm having the most difficult time just setting up this damn thing!

does anyone have any sites they know of that could help set up a range extender?

I called dlink's 1800 number and (not to sound rude) but I couldn't understand anything they were saying to me....and they were actually quite rude to begin with, resulting in zero help :(
