since they'd be at an equal price point, I wonder if the Nintendo Gamecube price will come down before the introduction of thier new handheld with the dual screens/processors. Looks like the game console war might get a little more interesting.
Both platforms are good (xbox & gamecube) but I prefer to NOT support "the man" and stick with Nintendo.
Hell, I'd spend $50 on a GameCube just to be able to play Mario Cart. Good times.
i wouldn't buy an xbox at all... they are too big and don't have as many games as ps2... halo is alright, but it's just not enough for me.
yeah i'm with you on xbox, i like ps2 better as well. can't wait to see ps3!
now that halo is for the mac, there is no point to get xbox... i too can't wait for ps3
It should get to $99 by Labor Day?
That is a rumor way in the future. No way that anybody could be to accurate about something like that.
I would definetly purchase a Xbox for $99 though. Then I'd install Linux so I could have a MPG4 player for my TV.
of course since the xbox is essentially a computer there is more you can do to it then a PS2... the internal HDD is also nice for some things.
PS2 can run linux.
If I'm not mistaken, so can an xbox.
The PS2 is a computer also, you can get various things for it, including, leyboard, network interface and harddrive
Of course, the question is...
Will xbox 2 run xbox 1 games? I guess this is why microsoft bought virtualpc
The PS2 runs PSX/PS1 games.
The PS3 will run PS2 and PS1 games.
Not officially, I think you need to mod it and void the warranty
Well, with the IBM chip in the XBox 2 - I'm wondering what it will have to offer aside from playing games. Anyone have any ideas on this?
I can't see myself buying a game console, though. I don't have enough time as it is and getting sucked into games would be deadly
So is the PS2.
It has access panel for a HD.
My friend actually runs Sony Linux 1.0 on his and surfs the net with his.
Sony came out with keyboard and mouse.
All consoles coming have HD's and built in ethernet cards.
This 40GB HD is for folks that want more storage then what the orig internal HD gave:
Broad Station for PS2 for network Wifi:
MS doesn't support Linux for it's console, but Sony does.
True, but it still is possible
This articles facts are wrong.
PS3 comes out 05
