after arguing about this in the MacRumors IRC channel, I'm quite tired of this, but is there anyone who believes that "xeon" is an alternative spelling for "xenon" and that they are the same thing basically?

I thought xenon was element number 54, the noble gas, etc. and that xeon was the processor Intel manufacturers.
    Am I wrong or something?
I thought there was no other alternative spelling for "xenon" and that that word has commonly been misspelled as "xeon" and vice versa.

I think the confusion comes from the other inert gas.... neon.

    Just plain ignorance, nothing huge.
