I know this is pretty out there, but I was wondering if anyone had any recent references or experience with setting up MPI together with Xgrid.

It almost appears like this was dumped in 2007 and I have not been able to find anything recent explaining how to do it.

    In detail:
I've setup an Xgrid with all my nodes being recognized, and I have installed gnu/openmpi on all the nodes.

openMPI claims that if xgrid tools are present on the machine ( http://www.open-mpi.org/faq/?category=building#build-rte ) it will just 'auto-magically' work, however when I attempt to use mpirun, the job does not appear in xgrid.

When i attempt to submit the job through xgrid cli using mpi, I get an error code. If I create a host file, and submit through mpirun using -H, it only runs locally, and if I submit mpirun -nolocal it tells me no other nodes are available.

I've referred to this thread (http://www.open-mpi.org/community/lists/users/2006/02/0581.php) and set my environment variables in my bash accordingly.

xgrid says it supports MPI, MPI says it supports xgrid... **** doesn't work.

    any help is appreciated
