Xserve updated to 1.33 G4 7457's...

    Shoot me down if this is old news, but i don't remember seeing it anywhere.

    Xserves are now running 1.33Ghz G4's.

    Surely this is the fabled 7457 chip?

    Arn, can you check this story out. I received my MacWorld (UK) magazine this morning and they have full reviews of the single 1.33 and dual 1.33 as well as the 2.52Tb Xserve RAID.

    Is this new news or old news?

    i believe its old.. xserves have been using a 1.33 g4's for some time now

    Oh well, for some reason I had it in my head that they had been at 1.2 for ages. Anyhow, I'm not in the market for Xserve, so sorry about the post.

    It is indeed old. When the Xserve gets bumped up, it will be to the G5.
