Just read about it on The Register, YouBlewMeUpYouBastard.com, what a fantastic idea!!!!

Site could do with some work, needs a form to submit pics to a gallery etc, but I'd love to see it grow.

If they didn't have those stupid banners at the top, it would be a bit nicer....don't know if everyone will appreciate this site, though...

Ah, British humor. Good stuff. If you're going to die, die in style.

I think that is probably the most greatest thing I have seen in weeks.

Imagine the power of that if the worst happens. It is fabulous!

Exactly. I think it's an absolutely brilliant idea. Just another way we can all tell those that try to frighten us that they can all kiss our collective ass!!! :D

What a great idea! I’d like to see it succeed to see where they take it, as well as getting to choose your obituary photo you could write your own obituary. “mpw was loved by all who knew him, admired for his intellect as much as his rugged good looks and rapier wit…..”

I'm surprised no one has expressed righteous indignation at the mockery of the lives lost as shown in this thread.

I guess its still too early to tell. North America is just waking up.

The point is not to mock the dead (which it doesn't). The point is to mock the terrorists.

Exactly - if I'm going to be brutally murdered (by anyone, not just terrorists) I'd much rather have a say in whatever picture the newspapers are going to use in plastering my image across their front pages - than whatever one they dig up from old websites!

You've got love that British sense of stoicism!

Reminds me of a recent culture clash on the internet. Some well meaning American folks start a LiveJournal community called London Hurts, where they meet up for e-hugs and swap virtual tears, that type of thing. Some Londoners discover the site and start adding some their 2 pence.

The community banner is submitted to a barrage of photoshopping, from "London Hurts: Today I'm a Londoner and Today I Hurt" to gems like "Today I'm a Londoner and today I got munted", "London doesnt' hurt, anal sex hurts when attempted without lubricant".

And that is why the terrorists will never win! :p

That's really funny, good find. I had actually heard of werenotafraid.com from a news program I watch.

I do not mind the banner ad's so much.. They have to pay for the bandwidth somehow and it is a heck of a lot better than pop-ups/unders
