Hey everyone, I've noticed that there haven't been a lot of threads about cars, so I figured I'd see everyone's tastes in asking what their dream car would be. Can be any car, old or new... and feel free to tell why.

Mine would be a New Porsche 911 Turbo: To me it's the ultimate car. Fast beyond all means, beautiful, all wheel drive, turbo, luxury, and it's a Porsche, who makes some of the finest sports cars in the world

A new Volvo. Porsches are cool, but I am not into dying. :)

Unless of course I'm allowed to sell the car.

Then I get an F1, sell it, keep my 95' volvo, and hire a financial planner.

A car that runs off a energy source I don't have to pay for, that never
breaks, that has a computer built in, and that does everything I
need it to do. If it could fly that would be nice too... ;)

Now you're really dreamin! Yeah, well here's a site you should check out, you might find it interesting, fuel cell vehicles are the future, and they share some of the traits you were lookin for...
    Fuel Cell Vehicles

Yeah, I've always been a Volvo fan, that's where I got to be a fan of turbos. I had an 86 740 turbo, that was a nice car.

And contrary to popular belief, Porsche builds pretty safe cars. The Porsche 944 from the 80's was actually the first production car to feature air bags.

aston amrtin DB7 Vanquish. Just beautiful.

Probably though I'd actually choose a BMW Z8. Classic style, awesome engineering.

Or a little cheaper, an M5 with sequential gearbox.

Since those are out of reach except for the most fanciful of dreams, there are other cars that are much more attainable that I would truly love to have.

    Like a 1970's porshe 911.

A late 60's Alfa Romeo Spyder roundtail.

A BMW Z4, or the older Z3 Coupe.

A subaru WRX sti (or even the current wrx version available here in the US, total sleeper car)

It's a DeLorean, the company was founded by the former head of Pontiac or something.

I actually saw a Delorean in DC a couple months ago - had to do a double take. Very cool car, but I can't imagine it would be cheap to maintain.

As for real cars I'd be happy with a new convertable Turbo Bug - and if I won the lottery - maybe a Audi TT, nothing too over the top.

You're righ. It would HAVE to be the one from Back to the Future PART 2 (the one that can fly, and is powered by garbage). Otherwise, you'd have to have a handy stash of plutonium somewhere.;)

I've never seen one in person. :(

Actually, one very cool car is the Lexus hard-top convertible (I don't know the model or name). I saw it in a presentation at Lincoln Center where this really hot babe was answering everybody's questions about the car and demonstrating how the top would collapse into the trunk. Very cool indeed:cool:

I saw a DeLorean park near an Apple store when I went to that stupid Jaguar release party thing.

It drove off soon after though.[IMG]
