I just got my new macbook recently, and have been having fun putting all my favorite old free (or, sometimes, shareware) apps on it.

...but now I want more! let's help each other out by pointing out some great free/cheap apps for OS X. (widgets too.)

    Some of my favorites:
    Tinyalarm
    iCal events
    Meteorologist
    VoodooPad/"" Lite
    Cashbox
    AppZapper

No one's complaining, but there have been a ton of these threads, maybe it should become a sticky.

Anyway, another vote for Clutter....I use it to add artwork all the time.

Butler is cool too, although a tad overly complex.

I think that would be a great idea.
Especially as quite a few apps/threads keep on reappearing.
    Mods?

    iCal - I don't use it very much :(, I need to, so I will :)

Yes! Mods, please do create a sticky!

I did look at the older posts covering this same topic but, as was mentioned above, the subject matter of this(/these) thread(s) is such that, while interest may cycle, the content of particular threads becomes less and less relevant (e.g., a post on this subject begun in 2004 isn't so helpful anymore, particularly for one using an intel machine, such as myself (macbook)) -- hence, the near-cyclical reappearance of threads on this subject.

So thanks to everyone who replied with helpful and up-to-date info. (Clockish is great, by the way -- thanks for that! :p )

Here's one I forgot to mention: SMS, a widget for sending text messages from your computer!
