    hi all,

steve jobs said at his mini "keynote" for the music event that every itunes user has an average of 60 purchased songs (from itunes). i thought it would be fun if all the people at macrumors listed the number of songs they have purchased form the itunes music store, and perhaps the total play time if you want.

lets see how far we all deviate from that 60 songs average!!

my count is 78 songs 10.2 hours, 385MB.

    8 songs.

Most played: I Touch Myself by Divinyls, played 67 times.

I get most of my music from the public library, and iTMS Norway hasn't been up that long... ;)

    395 songs, 1 day and 1.61 GB

96 of those songs have been freebie downloads and I've had another 40 or so through various gift certificates and vouchers.

    167 songs 11:02:25 total time, 654.6 MB

2 top plays (with 69 each):

    Amerika by Rammstein
Sucker Train Blues by Velvet Revolver

6 songs with 0 plays  (bought a few albums but didn't get around to listening to it all yet). Still worth it due to the # of songs on the album I DID like.

    71 songs, 4.5 hours, 268.9 mb.

I have 118 songs in my library, so 60.2% of my songs are legally downloaded.

Unless of course you ripped the other 39.8% from your own CDs, in which case I'd say they were all legal. ;)

For me: 5 songs, 23 MB. I have others from iTMS, but they were freebies

Make it 73, I just bought Matt Nathanson - Bent and I Saw, great songs. (Go download!).

I'll be honest, the rest are not from CDs...

    44 Songs - 2.9 hours - 175.6 MB

50% of those are through pepsi promotion 40% are gift cards, 10% my own money.

I would use the music store much more often if there were 192kb/s+ offered.

ZEE-roh. I don't buy bits. (I agree with Dubbz... all my songs are ripped at 192 kbps, and I don't need DRM on music I've purchased on CD.)
