Creating window groups

If you use a group of windows regularly you can save them as a window group. A window group contains the location, tabs, shell configurations, and settings of each of the windows. Opening a window group opens all of the windows configured just the way they were saved.

To create a window group:

  1. Setup and arrange all of the windows you want in the group.

Place the windows in the locations you want them to be, and have each one configured with the desired settings and tabs.

  2. Choose Window > Save Windows as Group.

  3. Enter a name for the window group.

  4. If you want the Terminal application to open with all the windows configured by this window group, select the “Use window group when Terminal starts” checkbox.

  5. Click Save.
