So I dusted off my 2 Mac Minis to see if they could cut it with a little over clocking.. How? Well, you&#039;ve all seen you can move the resistors around.. I tried and failed to re attach them once removed but found a work around.... A PENCIL! Yup.. the graphite is enough to short the pads and confiure the multiplier, plus, you can rub the thing clean with a normal rubber (this is an american site? eraser, then) and re do them until you find a stable config! Brilliant!<br />

Exporting video in iMovie or any sort of transcoding in Handbrake takes a long time.  I also do a moderate amount of work in Adobe Lightroom.<br />

And since then there was literally a deluge of updates (on Android), none making any difference in the app performance. <br />

On iOS it&#039;s slightly better, but I am noticing that apps like Uber and Lyft also getting updates every few days. <br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I replaced my trusty Mac Pro with a Mac Mini and used Time Machine to move all my data to the new Mini, but I would like to be able to boot from my old Mac Pro hard drive from an external hard drive. I&#039;ve already gone into Recovery Mode to allow the external boot. <br />

Will be replacing a 2008 24&quot; iMac with a 3.06 GHz C2Duo(!) - over the years, I maxed it with 6GB of RAM and replaced the HDD with a 1TB SSD.  It is even now still a mostly usable machine for my purposes - email, web, MS Office, VPN to work, large photo library, very light gaming.  Sadly, it&#039;s stuck at El Capitan, and so...<br />

iPads:<br />
<ul>
<li>Very lightweight and portable</li>
<li>Keyboard is removable/optional</li>
<li>Can use Apple Pencil to handwrite notes, sign documents, make art (drawing, painting, sketching), edit photos</li>
<li><span style="text-decoration: underline">True</span> all day battery life: even when doing intensive tasks like video editing, photo editing, music...</li>

Don&#039;t get me wrong, the idea of an easy ECG on a watch is fine - but that seems to be the only bit of additional functionality that extends the scope of an iPhone.  I get that I can see messages without taking my phone out of my pocket and twisting my wrist - but is that it?<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I have an approx 1in spot on my iPad Pro screen which is brighter than the rest of the screen - it&#039;s unevenly lit. The spot is about 2in above the home button, and although it has soft edges, I&#039;m anal about my gadgets, and the difference in brightness could be described as &#039;minor&#039;, it&#039;s clearly there. It looks a bit like a pressure spot or similar. I always keep it in a case with a screen protector and the Smart Keyboard, so it&#039;s well looked-after. <br />

I can&#039;t find much about similar issues...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I&#039;ve noticed on my iPhone XS that if I am scrolling through something, say a webpage in Safari, when I lift my finger for around 10 seconds to read something, my phone stutters for a hundred milliseconds or so when I start scrolling again. Seems small, but it&#039;s very distracting, and the 6s I&#039;m coming from doesn&#039;t do this. Had anyone else noticed this issue? <br />
