    I wouldn't make to much out of today's ipad non event. I think we will soon see all new pro model's (with the addition of a mini pro)

    I would take it back. There's a very good chance there will be a 9.7" (non pro) with a A9X very soon.

    I have the same macbook as you mid 2009 running el capitan....you could always remove the dvd and add a second drive (non ssd just for photos ect)...

    I took the plunge and bought a 13" Non-TouchBar MBP

    Unless you really need the extra power for video editing ect I would have kept the Air and maybe just redo a clean install to make it feel fresh...
