I've googled this, and I'm still left with a couple questions. All the instructions to achieve importing VHS videos into iMovie talk about using a DV camcorder hooked up to the VCR and Mac. From everything I've been able to gather a DV camera is one that takes tapes and not just digital files. Is that correct? Am I correct in thinking that my little panasonic SDR-H85 will not be able to do this since it doesn't have tapes? I'd rather not have to go out and buy another video camera that I don't want to use to do this? What are my other options? I'd like the video quality to be decent, but I'd rather not pay out the nose for it either, and there are enough tapes that I'd rather do it myself vs. sending it out. Any clarification or advice would be most appreciated!
