£800 increases on base prices. So.... what are the alternatives? Seriously ditching the Mac now. Which means I'll likely ditch the iPad and iPhone next year too. #Courage

UK pricing reflects Brexit currency drop.

Nope, other European countries are even worse, Italy and Netherlands in particular. I mean, sure it could be that, but prices have increased in Europe as well, and euro is just fine.

The European prices haven't dramatically increased by as much, the US prices of the Macbook Pro have increased and the European countries have mostly just increased by that same difference.

MacBook Pro prices in the UK have seen a much bigger increase because of the currency drop.

the pricing is insane, partly because our currency is worth less than a chocolate coin in the UK, but apple are smoking crack if they think people will buy these in any numbers, why have this when you can have any other laptop/tablet/hybrid and save £100s

In Europe also 20% more expensive than one year ago with no currency justification.

The fact they're selling yesterday's £1599 15" model, which is 18 months old almost for £1899 today is a joke. Gonna see if I can pick up a current gen from a local retailer, hopefully on sale!
