This story just keeps getting better :D :D

Some of you may remember the delectable Northern Irish Democratic Unionist Party MP Iris Robinson, wife of DUP leader and current Northern Irish First Minister Peter. Back in 2006 she obtained notoriety for radio comments stating that a gay man at the receiving end of a vicious beating had brought it on himself for not seeking psychiatric help for his "sick" and "nauseous" actions, and that she personally always encouraged anyone suffering from this "abomination" to go get counselling in the hope of a cure. In the face of criticism and calls to repeal her comments she instead hid behind the usual heavily edited 3000 year old book of fairy stories and compared gay people to murderers

Well, it seems whiter than white holier-than-thou ever-so-pious Iris isn't quite the good living Pentecostal worshipper she likes to portray herself as. Not only has she been discovered last year cheating on her husband (with whom she shared a massive £571,000 a year taxpayer-funded income from salaries and the usual MP's expenses, as well as employing most of the family to boot), but she's now being investigated for attempting to help out the object of her lustful sins (Kirk McCambley) financially through her church and local council position.

Kirk McCambley at the time of the affair was 19. Iris Robinson is 60. I wonder who should play her in the film :D

I do love politicians getting outed as lying hypocrites, don't you?

And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson.
Jesus loves you more than you will know.
    Woah, woah, woah.
God bless you please, Mrs. Robinson.
Heaven holds a place for those who pray.
Hey hey hey, Hey hey hey.

And there's also the even more appropriate SNL Celebrity Jeopardy quote, I garfunkeled your mother

    Not questioning your portrayal
It is just customary here in the PRSI to document is it not?

I feel sorry on a personal level for Peter Robinson. At the same time however, I can't abide their typical Unionist holier-than-thou crap.

Let's hope they've both learned something (I know the DUP never will though).

QFT. The far right, especially the religious type, always seem to find themselves at the very end of the stick that they paint others to be at.
Let's take a small look, shall we:

And now it appears that she knew young Mr McCambley when he was very young indeed. It's all starting to sound a bit creepy, with dare I say it, shades of grooming from the way The Guardian are portraying it.

Sorry to go on about this, but I'm so enjoying watching this hate-filled corrupt bunch of hypocrites unravel. The Sunday Times is rumoured to be about to name two more DUP MPs who have so far managed to hush up their own sex scandals, and Iris's idea of using one's position to help one's friends to prime business contracts by all accounts has not been isolated to some "mad" woman who went off the rails. Not by a long stretch.

The way this is going it's going to blow the lid off that scumbag party for good. They'll be lucky to keep North Antrim next election :D

And apparently she was doing the horizontal bop with the kids dad before he died too?

And it sounds like this could have a potentially major impact on this agreement they've been working on too. Sad story all around.

Progress in NI will move much faster once the DUP are out of the way. With any luck the UUP will recapture most of the seats they lost during the past decade in the upcoming election.
