Respring is when just the UI crashes and not the whole OS. It is called Respring because the the UI is called SpringBoard on the iPhone/iPad.

Also a Respring will look like a restart (Apple logo) but won't take as long and the :apple:Watch won't lock.

Thanks for the quick replies. It is clearly a bug. I’m sure Apple must be aware of it given how obvious it is.

Mine does it when you ask "what is the forecast today?" when invoking Siri by holding the Digital Crown. I am sure it is the command and not how you invoke Siri that is causing this. Weird, just yesterday it was absolutely fine. Series 3 LTE.

You're right it's the same on my S3 LTE. Surprised this one didn't get caught. Maybe it's fixed in 4.2.

Thanks for posting this. I have the same issue. Glad I’m not the only one. It started when I unpaired it with my old iphone then paired it with the iPhone X. Make be just a coincidence.

I actually started another post on this just a few minutes ago.

For sure a bug and easily reproducible. I am almost sure it was working fine yesterday.

Yep noticed this morning. Same exact issue. In another forum, the user attributed it to a DLS related issue.

Has to be an issue with Siri, as you can ask for the weather tomorrow and it does not do it. Very weird. It worked fine up until today, and I am on watchOS 4.1...strange.

It’s fine for me but based on the theory that it’s to do with the end of summer time we’d have had the problem last week (no idea as I don’t usually ask Siri the weather).

"DLS"? Every other time I've seen an acronym for Daylight Savings Time it's been "DST".

Gee whiz, guys. You gotta get out more.

They must all not do it as when I ask siri "what is today weather", she gives the weather.

This was 'fixed' when the time changed, so it is not a problem anymore since 2AM Sunday.
