This Social Media Justice is getting out of hand.

“Youtube Has Censored My Video About Censorship, Yes Seriously. Recently there was a big story released by James O'Keefe and Project Veritas about Pinterest censoring conservatives. The story was covered by many outlets including far left and leftist digital media.

My video was me reading publicly available information from a website and no new information was revealed. Yet for some reason my video was quietly removed without any notice on youtube.

I only found out because someone emailed asking why I was being censored. The official reason? A Privacy complaint. But from who?

Not only did I get a complaint but James O'keefe and Steven Crowder got complaints. In fact the origianl report has been removed and Steven Crowder got a privacy complaint for interviewing O'Keefe about it.

Social media censorship is now coming for journalism not just commentary. Perhaps this is in result to recent reports, like from Vox, that conservatives are winning the internet. Maybe this wave of censorship hitting Youtube is a result of far left social justice activists taking the only action they have left.”

Liberalism is a cancer that’s eating its way through all facets of society.
So, no. Just as Conservatism is in no way recognizable to what it was 40 years ago, so too Liberalism. Weirdly, things have been turned on there head - Conservatives are the actionable party now, and Liberals are reactionary...The Cancer you speak of is a combination of ignorance, self-importance, and apathy. That's a bi-partisan issue.

Are you making the claim that the overall scale of the American left has not changed, and the left politicians we are seeing now have not become further left?
I think they are saying that for some on the right, what was once moderate left, can seem like far left now. Because of how far right some have drifted, and imagine they are the ones that haven't changed.

That's how I took it.

Liberals, Religious groups, a large portion of Blacks (which don't like both parties), Atheists, and etc ....... are all getting flagged, demonetized, and videos removed for nonsense reasons as well. It's to the point that some creators speak in code not to get flagged.

So pointing your finger at the Left or Right isn't going to solve anything.

That is what I meant. Though, to Solvers' point, some of the Left has trended further left as a reaction to the general right - shift.

Ah.

I 'leaned' more towards your second point. I imagine some persons don't believe they have changed, it's the rest of the world not being on the same page as they are, that have changed for the worst.

Considering how frequently people like myself, who are generally liberal and center-left, are becoming politically homeless, I can assure you that much of the mainstream "left" is changing.

Wouldn't that be a personal observation? Since I have no issue calling myself liberal ( other more even  tempered individuals may call me 'leftist' though ), I hadn't experienced that myself. Though I do confess to the appeal of social progressives. One because it feels the left has become monolithic with little to no desire for real change. Two, because of the amount of gnashed teeth & tears from the supposed stable right. So I myself would say much of the mainstream "left" hasn't changed that much, except in the eyes of those on the right who need them to for their own narratives, and the likes of left that don't want any drastic changes that affect their pockets.

The difference is ....the Far Right actually took over the Reps.

The Far Left hasn't experienced "official" power yet. Sure, Dem politicians pander to them, but the Far Left hasn't truly had one of their own in a high office position. The Far Right however ....... well we know that story.

Who are you talking about? There are several people in government in the U.S. are quite far to the "left" (to the point of being illiberal), and in many other countries. And if you really want to consider all positions of power and influence, it's much more "far left" than "far right".

If you go far enough right, do you end up left? Or if you go far enough left, do you end up right?

Please explain why liberalism is a cancer. Is this a de facto argument for conservatism? If so, would you choose Conservatism from the 1860s or 1950s? ;)

This Project Veritas?

Project Veritas: how fake news prize went to rightwing group beloved by Trump
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/nov/29/project-veritas-how-fake-news-prize-went-to-rightwing-group-beloved-by-trump

James O’Keefe’s organisation specialising in media stings received donations from Trump’s foundation but was caught red-handed peddling a false story

RIGHT-WING STING GROUP PROJECT VERITAS IS BREAKING FACEBOOK’S “AUTHENTIC BEHAVIOR” RULE. NOW WHAT?
https://theintercept.com/2019/06/11/facebook-rules-project-veritas/

A MEMBER OF Project Veritas gave testimony in a federal court case indicating that the right-wing group, known for its undercover videos, violates Facebook policies designed to counter systematic deception by Russian troll farms and other groups. The deposition raises questions over whether Facebook will deter American operatives who use the platform to strategically deceive and damage political opponents as vigorously as it has Iranian and Russian propagandists. But is the company capable of doing so without just creating more problems?

Project Veritas is not journalism, much less 'truth'
https://www.ncronline.org/news/opinion/distinctly-catholic/project-veritas-not-journalism-much-less-truth

On their website, Project Veritas states that their mission is to "nvestigate and expose corruption, dishonesty, self-dealing, waste, fraud and other misconduct in both public and private institutions in order to achieve a more ethical and transparent society."

This week, the tables were turned when The Washington Post revealed that someone trying to spread a false story to the news organization was seen entering the Project Veritas office in Mamaroneck, New York. Project Veritas refused to disclose whether the woman worked for them. Further investigation by the Post indicated that this was not the first time the woman, Jaime T. Phillips, tried to insinuate herself and her agenda into their organization

YouTube has been doing this to anything not considered politically correct material, in particular Christian religious shows, eventually the whole internet will be like this.

Not to digress, but the 'leftist' or liberal sites I frequent didn't cover the pinterest story. When I do look for it, I only saw the story on right leaning sites.
It does depend on what the story or program is about.

The mainstream “left” you speak of here in the US is still center-right by international standards.

Also, after 10 years of Veritas...just give it up already. An inflammatory right wing billionaire propaganda project is not a ****ing source of anything other than lies.
