1.1.4 release date?

I appreciate that it's early days but has anyone any ideas as to when the next firmware will be released?

It's a little frustrating that we're still without MMS, copy/paste (it is after all supposed to be a "smart phone"!) and video recording.

I'm thinking flash support and a IM client is out of the question due to our data tariffs, but the rest!!!

Hat off to Apple for the latest release - very tidy!
 
Probably with SDK release at end of Feb is my guess. Maybe be a 2nd digit update. 1.2.0
 
Wow...are you an impatient individual!!! :rolleyes:

This one aint even a week old and we have complainin already. Get over the MMS/CopyPaste...it may not ever get released...you cant handle it, then get another phone!

This release isnt even cold/old yet! :eek:

The next update will deal with the SDK, so until then find a little patience and enjoy what we have now and maybe with the SDK release you may get something to last your patience 72 hours before you find something else wrong.

:) Hey, don't get me wrong, the iPhone is awesome, it's just (like I said) a shame it's missing a few minor features that all low end phones can support (bar copy/paste).

I wonder if copy and paste, MMS, etc. can be done by developers with a SDK? Who knows - we'll just have to wait and see.
 
I really don't see what all the whining about copy/paste. I can count on my hand the number of times I have been using my iPhone where I though copy/paste would be really useful.

This tuesday :eek: Eegads are they gunna start releasing them every week from now on?!
 
an inside source told me that 1.1.4 is going to include the copy feature.
paste won't arrive until 1.1.5 ;)

Not to mention after three updates something as simple and needed as a To-do list, notes that sync (can be edited on pc/mac), and something like diskmode / file / pdf storage. These things are one of the reasons I have not updated to 1.1.3 yet (no jailbreak yet). Hopefully these will be added after the SDK is released even though they are things Apple should have added.

It may be earlier than any one thinks - but I think it will just be bug fixes - Im guessing 1.1.4 in the next two weeks - just to fix the texting message order bug.
 
Well there's gotta be some sort of fix soon to the SMS problems that LOTS of people are having...
 
Steve specifically referred to the SDK in his keynote stating, "end of February." I too believe it will be a 1.2 update.
 
The fact that pressing "Close" now marks the text message as being read instead of leaving it as unread to reply to later.

And the other problem of putting texts out of order.
 
apple will fix the bugs created with the new firmware, but quietly.

1.1.3.1 = 1.1.4, which should be released before the SDK update.

Then the SDK update will be: 1.2 or 2.0 . Probably 2.0
