It is fake news. What do you expect out of Fox. There is so much missing info that I do not consider that source very valid. Big time considering none of the other major news outlets are putting this out. NPR would be all over it if companies really were going to do that.

in the wording of the question?

    according to the report, that figure also includes companies that would off-set the drop;

Of course it's not fake news. That's absurd. While I think 30% is a bit high, it's certainly going to be higher than the 7% the gov is claiming. Frankly, I'd never expect CNN or Reuters to post anything that does much damage to Obama. Regardless of what you think of Fox News, no other news outlet is any different. It's all political.

Oh please- they report things that damage Obama all the time.

Here we go again with the "librool media" BS.

I am still going to say I question the source and again only fake news network (fox) is running with it so again going to question it.

Fox has been showen to be the worse with incorrect stories of the big players. Not that the others are doing much better. Fox is just a lot worse than the rest.

The original source is McKinsey, not Fox News.

For those who don't know, McKinsey is one of the top (if not best) consulting firms in the world. This falls well in their domain of knowledge and expertise.

But I'm not advocating there is one and only one end-all source of information.

Really.... check out their extended list of slip-ups at wikipedia including in 1980 the guidance that cell phones would be a niche market...oops.

If thats ancient news see wiki for their more recent lulu's.

So what? You can find plenty of bad management decisions and failed strategies with any other company, including some of the most successful ones.

But again, I'm not advocating there is one and only one end-all source of information.

but the fact is none of the other outlets are even picking this up which tells me a lot as well. Fox has a very bad record of twisting facts and leaving out huge chunks of info.

Maybe because the report was just published, and needs time to be analyzed (I don't know the exact time/date)?

    WSJ is also reporting it.

WSJ is owned by News Corp. The same wonderful business that owns Fox News.

No surprise sister divisions pick up the same story.

I'll take this seriously when Jon Stewart reports on it. ;)

    Reuters?

    http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/06/07/us-health-benefits-idUSTRE7564VR20110607

I don't disagree with what you're saying. But I'm not stating my position on the issue, nor am I commenting on my preference of news outlets. The point I am trying to make is that it is irresponsible to dismiss information (not opinion) on the sole basis of what news channel it came from. Obviously I'm not going to take the gentleman in the tin-foil seriously when he tells me whatever absurd thing he says. But when someone who is as influential and in the know at this kind of level publishes a report like this, I'm at least going to listen/read it.

This is story what, only twelve or thirteen hours old?

Edit: The Reuters article was published way before the WSJ one.

Government intervention's putting another nail in the free market's coffin. Surprise surprise, the results are negative. Wow.

Or you can plug your ears and say "I'm not listening."

Hmmm, I wonder why a report that "predicts" a huge number of businesses might drop healthcare is not being reported? Is it because the librool media is protecting Obama, or is it perhaps because the report has a conclusion that has already been proven false?

I wish people would go to the original source rather than just the first convenient link, so thanks for pointing out that it was Kinsey.

However, I'm not sure Kinsey is all that and a bad of chips. Their connections to the Galleon debacle, Enron, and problems post-Hurricane Katrina should make us wary of information from them. They're not an independent research group, but rather are deeply invested in corporate management.

That the WSJ and News Corp picked up the story doesn't give it particular credence—the Journal used to be good before Murdoch—however, we shouldn't dismiss the report either. Fox is reporting on it because it's another pebble to toss at the Obama administration, but the report's value does not decline because Fox mentioned it. The report should stand on its own.

The original source is irrelevant- it was re-published by Fox News, which automatically makes it "fake". That means the left-wingers don't have to offer an intelligent response. lol. ;)

I know, just saying it isn't a surprise when a sister division picks up the same story.
