My husband is very happy with my old 3Gs running iOS 5. The 4s is even faster but I think things sped up with the installation of 5 on the older phone.

You folks are patient.

The 3GS on iOS 5 was driving me nuts it's so slow. Apple shouldn't even be selling it anymore with that version of iOS.

4s is so fast it's a pleasure to use iOS again -- since iOS 4 the 3GS has been a lackluster experience

If I recall, T-mobile has been bought by orange so people on either get both signals, so aslong as your in an orange 3G area, you'll recieve 3G signal :)

Pay a little more attention :p, they are talking about TMobile USA.

I'm really digging the 4S. I've owned the iPhone, 3G, 3GS, 4, and now a white 64GB 4S. I also have a droid bionic but I generally don't bring that up in polite conversation.

The screen is bright and white and the speed is awesome. My battery life is about half of the iPhone 4...because I use it twice as much. Thanks to the speed, Siri, and increased 3G speeds on AT&T, I find myself using the phone much more at home and on the train and whipping out my Macbook Air less. It has become even more of a go-to device. The only downside is lack of a jailbreak and that should be remedied soon.

All in all even with heavy use I still only charge my iPhone once a day with maybe a couple 10 minute charges here and there. My Bionic on the other hand dies every day whether I use it or not.

I charge my phone every night. Battery life is similar to my 2.5 year old 3Gs. I was hoping for better... One of my few disappointments with the phone.

Stop making me jealous. :p ;) I've still got a couple of months to see out on my contract.

Ooops sorry!!! I was going to hold out until after Christmas but broke down when I heard I could get unlocked phones early. So glad I did! The one benefit of paying full price and no contract. ;)

I paid full price too. Yay for other female nerds who think paying full retail is acceptable.

i think I'm on the same boat. i bought my 4s two days ago and can't put it down. the increase in speed from my late 4 is huge. i can notice for sure. the games run way smoother, i played modern combat 3 on both, and on the 4s the experience is awesome. i tough i had an xbox in my hands :p

i got the 16g, i was thinking of getting the 64g because of my music library is huge, but what the heck ! i got my iClassic 160g for that :D

the white knighting is this thread is ridiculous

It's been a month and I can no longer return my iPhone 4s. Wouldn't want to if I could. Still loving it. Practicing with using Siri more often. Trying to get comfortable talking to her and figuring out how she works best for me.

My poor iPad. It's gotten the biggest fallout from this new phone. I'm sure I'll get back to it eventually but for now I'm still using my phone almost exclusively and ignoring it.

How about the rest of you? Still in love?

Lol. I bet 3GS to 4S users are loving this phone. Coming from a 4, it's the same for me. I rarely play with it, just text and WWF. I love my iPhone though.

The phone is essentially the same as the 3Gs, but for some reason I'm just enjoying using it more. Probably because it's faster and the screen is easier on my eyes. Whatever the reason I'm enamored. :)

How much are you using it during the day? It dies with no usage?

The last time I did a full battery drain I was at nearly 9 hours usage and 1 day 9 hours standby.

FYI I'm using an offGRID case this week and so far I'm at 10 hours usage, 2 days 16 hours standby and 38% battery remaining plus 1/4 the juice of the offGRID left for a top off.

good stuff

I love that too!

Thats good. Some people say the iPhone is to hard to operate, or they won't upgrade to the latest firmware.

iPhone hard to operate? I haven't heard that. Of course after 3 years I've got it down pretty well ;)
