    I followed the link to Amazon's page. The $100 rebate is there. I've no problem with that.

    But then I look at the base price. They display a list price of $1600 ($1 more than Apple's actual list price of $1599), followed by text that says "To see our low price, add this item to your cart".

    When you do add it to your cart, you find that the actual price is $1594.

    Come on! Their special discount price that they aren't allowed to show on the product's main page is $5 ($6 off of their incorrectly-stated list price)? Five bloody dollars out of $1599??? A 0.3% discount is such a great deal that they can't advertise it?

    Am I the only one who considers this sleazy?

    Blame Apple.

    Apple Reseller contracts do not allow any reseller to publically advertise a product below current MSRP.
