I’m keeping the 12PM until the 14PM comes out or even the 15PM. You know what they say; if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.

THE 12PM is just enough and suit my needs as my daily driver. I don’t plan on shooting any cinematic videos or 120Hz refresh rate. I can pass on these features for a year or 2.

Undecided - BUT leaning more and more towards upgrade.

12 Pro Max 256gb, to 13 Pro Max 256GB.
Won't do pre-order, I do think (ok...hope) they will be available in stores next Fri morning..

The trade in value is tempting right now. (No silly 30 monthly Verizon plan...I'll pay in full, tarde in 12PM which eventually comes to $349 - mix of Gift card and a credit.) So..yes tempting for the better cameras, faster phone...and battery.

Seen these "expert" YouTubes, other videos "12 owners, you should skip" But my personal experience with the 12PM has not been amazing. Few glitches...few total wipe out of this phone and starting over, and I wont get into all the details here, that's in another thread - the 12 PM battery for me has been a massive nightmare.

I HOPE this much bigger battery helps...but I also 🙏🏼 it doesnt degrade at a record pace again.

*I'll miss the Pacific Blue though...I'll be going with Graphite. *Keynote said it's "darker," beats me, it looks the same on the site, so I'd like to see that on display or hopefully videos, real World pics from perhaps New Zealand, AU for example a week from today.

I keep my 12 256GB for at least one more year, and probably two.
The only sexy stuff IMO is 120Hz else is very boring to me since I'm not very interested in photo stuff. I don't like pro colors and I don't like Pro optics design, I miss the classy X / XS optics look. For sure I like more than 2 optics but I think Apple can make a better design than this triangular weird stuff.

I would like a true redesign for my next upgrade, incremental SoC / Camera upgrades are not enough IMO. My dream would be a thin and small foldable truly optimized but I don't think Apple will take this path before at least 3-4 years :(

Any variant 12 to any variant 13 is the poll

sorry if that wasn’t clear
Gotcha, I rocked the vote. Lol. I’m tired of the weight of the Max, but I like the battery life and I prefer the camera on the Pro variants so I’m going 12 PM to a 13 Pro this time around.
Bumped up battery will make it closer to my 12 PM and the camera improvements are always welcome.

Yes. I’m going from 12pro max to 13 pro.

battery life is set to be better than 12 pro max and I can’t imagine having a phone heavier than the one I have now. Plus going back to a slightly smaller screen size will be welcoming.

I have the 12 Pro 256GB and will be upgrading to the 13 Pro Max 256GB.

the trade-in value is enticing, also my battery health has dropped to 88% and the fact that the 13 Pro Max has a new battery lasting 2.5 hours longer. But I think if it wasn’t for the trade in value, I wouldn’t have upgrade.

I'm strongly considering going from the 12P to the 13P. A lot of that has to do with the fact that my 12P "max battery" shows 87% and I've had it less than a year and I'm not what most would consider a "heavy" user. Additionally, even from the start, I never felt like the battery life on the 12P was very good. So, the alleged increase in battery life on the 13P is a very tempting thing.

The 120Hz, better cameras, and what not would be icing for me personally.

Really just trying to determine whether I would trade through AT&T or directly through Apple. Leaning toward Apple but we'll see.

Totally understand!! Good (but in a way NOT good due to our personal experience) that I am not the only one that feels that way.

Health in my 12 PM is still sitting at 83%...101 cycles.
Just getting rid of this (Seen a few posts of battery replacements on this, and THOSE are dropping after a month)

So..at a $790 price trade in, with the camera upgrades since I do a ton of video, photos - to me...it's fine.

I’m seeing a LOT of Max to Pro responses in multiple threads. I’m interested to see if people who do make the switch are happy and stay with it. I’m also interested in seeing how overall sales numbers go this year, which ones end up being the big sellers.

12 Pro to REGULAR 13. First year trying the Pro - I had the regular 11 before that - and the 12 Pro battery was trash (Currently 85% battery health after one year). Plus, the phone is kinda heavy on the hand. I don't need all the "Pro" features, anyway, turned out I never really used the "Pro" camera like that.

Yes. But, in reality we are upgrading my son from my old 7+ to my 12. So I am moving from the 12 to the 13. If we weren't upgrading him and the terrible battery life of the 5 year old phone, I wouldn't be upgrading this year.

The trade-in credits are just too good to pass up on a phone that's due to be replaced anyway.

Same. And I’ll take any incremental camera improvements I can get. Also the struggle to carry the Max around was real for me.

I have an S21 Ultra for big screen media consumption and it’s the best device I’ve ever owned for that purpose. It’s ergonomic to hold. Cameras are okay indoors but not as reliable as the Pro’s, though.

I’ll have a better purpose for the 13 Pro in my device collection. I did get my case today. It’s honestly a bit shocking to see in person how huge the cutout is for the camera bump. And it is noticeably thicker. It’s going to be something to see these phones in person.

12PM in Pacific Blue to 13PM in Sapphire Blue or Graphite. It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year haha!!

I’m skipping this year. My Pacific Blue 12 Pro still works great. Does everything I need. Don’t really care for the ProMotion Display as I don’t do any gaming on my phone and the camera upgrades are not a big enough jump in my opinion. If I had anything older than a 12, then I’d def consider it. I’ll wait for the 14. If the rumors are true that Apple will lose the notch and go with a hole punch display, then I’d def be getting that.
