Hello all!

I have a 2013 Mac Pro (Darth Vader's trash can) that I tried updating to 12.3 about 36 hours ago. The update stalled about 1/5th of the way through (which was only a matter of 5 or so minutes after the update was downloaded and the install started). I let it sit like that for a long time - a good 12+ hours. I attempted to boot into safe mode but it will only load about half-way according to the status bar on the start-up screen. Rebooting starts the update process again but it stalls in the same place. I have a backup so I'm not worried about a restore if need be, just curious if anyone else has encountered a similar issue. Thanks!

I got the same problem with 3 VMs out of 4. Did you find a solution?

Nothing 100% yet, but I do see some progress. I booted into recovery mode and selected the option to install Monterey from there (note, I did not wipe the drive in disc utility just yet - that'll be the next step if this fails). It immediately said it was most of the way done with the install (maybe 75-80%) but also indicated it had about 2.5 hours left. In the last 30 or so minutes the progress bar has moved to roughly 90%. Will update again soon (hopefully).

I tried that with a ISO of Monterey 12.3. It stuck at the same place

Unfortunately I encountered the same thing after 3 or 4 different progress windows. Went ahead and wiped/reinstalled and we're back up and running (on 12.3).

Good thing nothing serious happened. While installing, one Catalina security update, my MP6,1 was stuck like that, I tired everything, and it ended up to be a fried CPU riser card.
