I’ve noticed today after updating to 14.6 that going under cellular > Cellular data options > voice and data that the option for 3G has been removed. Also noticed when I’m at work I’m having issues connecting to 3G. I don’t always get LTE indoor at the location I’m at but indoors I would connect to 3G.

Anyone else having this issue? I know 3G is dated tech but not having any connections to data indoors is also not allowing me to receive calls or even text now.

I will note I never saw 5G under that tab and now I have a few options.

I still have it

The thing is my carrier doesn’t even support 5G. I’m using straight talk ATT and didn’t do a carrier update today.

Well, there are a few things going on. Straight Talk is using AT&T (among other carriers). AT&T is adding 5G to all their plans, so at some point that means it will be available to ST. All carriers are doing away with 3G. Last I saw, AT&T is planned for Feb 2022. That means ST will lose it at some point also. This isn't new news. Bottom line is you're being controlled by your carrier. If you haven't lost 3G now, you will be.
