Wow, just watched a youtube vid. Damn am i glad i waited!!!! Of course i'm scared for new issues, but i'm ordering one today or tomorrow if possible.

A few more details:

- The monitor is 3,072 x 1,920 (226 ppi) — The 15" model is 2,880 x 1,800 (220 ppi)
- It weights .3 pounds more
- GDDR6 video memory
- RAM memory is now 2666Mhz (before it was 2400Mhz)
- Battery is 100Wh (its was 83.6Wh before)
- New 96W power adapter
- 512GB SSD base model, the $2799 config has a 1TB SSD.

I'm thinking top spec'ed out will be inching towards $10k.

edit: wow, top spec'ed is $5,539. "relatively" reasonable, I'd say in the Apple world.
but, this isn't a brand new design. I'd consider more of a mid cycle refresh with internal spec bumps. I think the rumor mill is making it seem like a new design. This will replace the 15". Hoping to see the same thing on the 13" soon.

People seem pretty happy about it. To me it seems like a nice upgrade and I think I'll be getting it, instead of using an iMac+my 2019 13 inch macbook pro.

I really like that they improved the cooling by "28%", and the bigger screen size, but I still can't believe that the camera is that bad.

All in all, definitely a step in the right direction.

I can’t believe we still have to deal with the Touchbar! I don’t want to! Glad the keyboard is back to the scissor mechanism and there is an actual escape key though!

I’ll wait For the 13 inch MacBook Pro to update my current 2013 MacBook
