Apple TV 4 and iPad Pro Pre-Orders Begin at Select Authorized Resellers in Europe

Just weeks before the Apple TV 4 is expected to be released worldwide, select Apple Authorized Resellers in Europe have begun accepting pre-orders for the new set-top box. The Apple TV 4 is officially slated to launch in late October, but the majority of orders are unlikely to be fulfilled until November.

Electronics retailer Elgiganten, equivalent to Best Buy in the Nordic Region, is accepting Apple TV 4 pre-orders in Denmark and Norway with expected delivery in November. The 32GB and 64GB models are listed for 1,399 and 1,849 Danish kroner and 1,749 and 2,299 Norwegian kroner respectively.

German electronics retailer Cyberport has also listed the Apple TV 4 and iPad Pro for pre-order on its website. The authorized reseller lists the 32GB and 64GB Apple TV 4 for EUR179 and EUR239 respectively, which could be indicative of broader European pricing, although prices in other countries will likely vary depending on local taxes.

iPad Pro prices range from EUR899 to EUR1,229, compared to between $799 and $1,079 in the United States.

Cyberport advertises that the Apple TV 4 will be available from November 5, and lists the iPad Pro as not yet available. Apple has not provided a specific release date for either product beyond late October for the Apple TV 4 and November for the iPad Pro.

No. Legally they can't enable such things without charging for the update as they've been required to do in the past. They'll just sell you new hardware in the future if they choose to add 4k support.

In for all the people on here that don't bother reading that resellers are the ones taking pre orders (something any of them could have done the second it was announced) and expect Apple to do the same right thing minute.

Read more carefully. Product release and preorders are two different things. Apple has never released a product on Saturday, period. Total Apple products available for preorder on a Saturday? One. It is extremely doubtful the Apple TV will be on deck for preorder given its history.

Wat? It doesn't mean they'll ship to in Europe first. Anyone could take preorders the minute the product was announced. Heck they could have taken preorders for an unannounced product.

Pre-orders from Apple themselves will likely ship sooner than those from these 3rd party resellers in EU. Apple will also have a larger supply so there won't be back orders like there very likely will be with these 3rd party pre-orders going on now.

Just because they can pre order it now does not mean they will get it first, Best buy might allow pre orders in 5 minutes,and delivery next week no one really knows because everything is a big secret

It'll be available for preorder on Halloween ships in November. You seem to forget that the first ever preorder on a Saturday was also the most recent preorder.
