Peter Schweizer, a fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institutions new book "Extortion" will have a new book out tomorrow (Oct 22, 2013) that details the system called "Special PAC". On a Oct 21 morning news show (ABC or CBS, forgot which), he also added that the combative stance by the congressional members are massive money makers as the base see them make a stance and reward that (bad) behavior with donations.

Interestingly, Ann Coulter, the Queen Conservative herself book Never Trust a Liberal Over 3 - Especially a Republican also suggest the Republican side is now all about money over "wining" politics. She does not mince words about how dumb many Republican tactics are.

I just got my phone call last night from the Democrats, fundraising over the shutdown.

For just $250 I could help take back the House of Representatives.

    No thanks.

They have my vote. They have my support.

But they do not get my $250.

    Yes, just prove the point.

Political showdowns are now commercials for the politicians.

(I would be OK to give $10, but its insulting to ask for $250).

The only thing one should say to political calls is, please take me off of your INTERNAL call list.
