Yeah.....I don't think he was implying that they are equivalent players.
It doesn't matter how good you are......concussions are a bitch.
I don't think he was saying Bergeron is Crosby.
Crosby, I give him 4 games and he'll be out again due to the concussion.
I think that would be the prudent think for the Pens to do. the team is doing well. Bringing Sid back could cause them to change their strategy and affect their success.
i would love to see him back but the cost coming back too early could have more damaging consequences for the Pens and the league
as I said above ... Sid will not come back early ... he will be back when he is ready to play at 100%
Today on HockeyCentral @ Noon, they said that Sid was slotted to come back in the Pens final game of the season, which would be on April 2nd @ Florida.
I really hope that this concussion is just a one-off for him.
He would be back sooner but they have to play the Islanders second to last. That came could be a mess.

Leafs win 4-3 against Buffalo. Now all we have to do is win all the rest of our games.....and maybe we'll get in......
An interesting event happened in the 3rd: Miller took a shot off of the mask, and Phaneuf went over to the ref to remind him that Miller is supposed to go to the "Quiet Room" for 15 minutes. The refs allowed Miller to keep playing, but if they actually followed the letter of the rule, they really are supposed to force him to leave the game for 15 minutes.
I can see problems/controversy in the future because of this not-very-well-thought-out protocol.

Unless a well-defined "Ding-Dong" was heard, I see no reason to send him to the rubber room.

They have to exhibit legit signs of a concussion to go to the "quiet room". Just taking a shot to the head doesn't require it.
I just got back from the Bruins/Blackhawks game. Great original six matchup. And the Bruins shut out the reigning Stanley Cup champs.
