The one scenario i heard (and the one I like the most) is that Dallas and Colorado switch divisions, Winnipeg would go into the central and the wings would go east.

I don't think Detroit would move. The NHL isn't going to want to break up the rivalries that exist between the Red Wings and the other teams in the conference - it would be like moving either the Yankees or the Red Sox to the National League. My money would be on Columbus moving (they're the easternmost Western Conference team) to the SE division and Winnipeg being in the Central division - basically they swap places. Columbus isn't really "southeast" geographically, but it makes most sense. Maybe the NHL will rename the division to something more fitting.

Sold my game 3 tickets -- I'm both happy and sad at the same time. First time that I've made any money.

I'd like to see Detroit stay. I thought that the Hawks/Wings rivalry was very strong.. Seems to me that Columbus or Nashville makes more sense. CBJs are probably the weaker of the two so the east looks good. I read a good article about this a week or so ago probably posted by someone here.

They've broken up rivalries before, so that's not necessarily a reason that they won't do it. Up until 1993, the Leafs were in the Norris division, and the rivalries with the Wings, Blackhawks, Blues, and North Stars were pretty intense. I hated those teams back then.

The amount of extra travel that the Wings have to do is a big factor in the decision on who to move. I think they travel more than any other team in the league. I remember hearing something about a promise to the Wings that they would be next to move to the East when possible.

However, swapping Columbus and Winnipeg makes sense as well.

To be more accurate, Versus was already owned by Comcast, so the merger just brought the NBC branding to the channel.

Friggin' Bruins fans.:rolleyes::p

I guess I'll have to deal with Olczyk and McGuire :eek:It's going to painful;)

HEY!!! :)

I can deal with Doc -- it's the other stooges I can't take.

Unloaded 1 set of tickets for Game 3 - pained me to do it but the market value is pretty unreal. Gotta work on Game 4 tomorrow.

I'm about tired of Doc.

It seems like every puck "skitters", gets "knifed down" or "squibs".

Maybe I just watch too much hockey.

Yeah, you!:D

Damn, I thought so. Yes, those of us "in misery" that still get to watch our favorite team play tonight. :p

Having said that, expectations are low since the B's are the underdogs -- though my blood pressure is still high

Hopefully it's a well played game by both teams. I almost really mean that.

^^^^^I hope they beat the crap out of each other for 7 nail-biting games.:D

As of 4:30pm CST, the Jets have sold 1,870 season tickets. They announce updates at driveto13.com daily at 4:30.

They'd better be called the Jets.

I do not support this Bettman extortion.

Is there any precedent for this ugly stipulation?

13,000 season ticket holders, and a 3 year commitment, or no team.

Bruins in 6.

Also, whoever complained about the Bruins' bruising style of hockey, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the flopping, biting, cheap-shotting Canucks thus far.

+1 or This or whatever the cool thing to say is.

No ***** biting in hockey. what the f was that?

And - feh to the results.
