I recently see someone posted the speed of 128GB version, which is about 650MB/s write and 1300MB/read. Could anyone please info what's the write and read speed for 256GB and 512GB version?

Could anyone please upload the screenshot of Blackmagic Test result?

Many thanks!

My Early 2015 13" @2.7/8GB/256GB:

(I think it's this way: 1TB > 512GB > 256GB > 128GB):

My early-2015 13" (i7/16/512) gets about 1400MB/s in both reads and writes.

Thank you! Can you please let me know the manufacture of your SSD? My friend also got Early 2015 13" @2.7/8GB/256GB, but he told me his SSD model is Sumsung and the write speed is around 600mb/s and write is 1200mb/s.

Those are crazy fast speeds. Won't see them in real world usage unless you're a professional youtuber, basically. Still, nice to have

In multiplayer online fps games I'm always the first one to have the map loaded and I get my choice of class in games like insurgency. :)

Now I'm jealous  lol

That's awesome. What game?

The only real world usage with these speeds is for cinematography jobs in 4K, with ArriRaw.

Yeah I'm a bit concerned when 4k becomes mainstream. My late 2013 13" is already outdated for 4k at 60 fps.

It got STUCK

It's outdated because of Intel's limitation on Haswell-U.

He looks to be talking about 4K video playback, not driving a 4K display.

When do you think 4k especially at 60 fps will become the standard on sites like youtube?

Right now I'm fine at 30 fps, no problems.

I've never tried 4K at 60 FPS on my rMBP and it's pointless to do so. Either run it on the internal display in UHD at 60 FPS or an external 4K at 30 FPS since you'll be getting dropped frames at 60 FPS due to the refresh rate limitation anyway.
